Why are you running for this office?
Dr. Kendall Baker is a lifelong resident of HISD District VI who deeply cares about the education of youth; in addition to maintaining fiscal integrity of taxpayer dollars. Kendall is a parent to a developing child, an astute businessman, ordained minister, educator, and formal public servant for this City of Houston. He has a five-point plan to usher the Houston Independent School District to higher academic achievements across all socioeconomic demographics. His five-point plan includes improved fiscal accountability that will DECREASE property taxes for the citizens of DISTRICT VI. Dr. Baker is very much aware that the effects of COVID-19 have left gapping educational disparities amongst our promising youth. However, he DOES NOT support mask mandates nor the does he support Critical Race Theory. He believes in the fundamental principles of choice and freedom while avoiding subjects that further divides our community.

The bible reminds us in Proverbs 29:2 that, "When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice, but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn." HISD has mourned long enough and with a victory in my election, the Holy Spirit will use me to make a Godly impact on his precious little ones making HISD become a great school district. I am the proud father of one elementary school aged child and I want to use my education, knowledge, faith and experience to forge a principled educational path to success for generations to come."
