What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

The nature of mankind is a fallen world filled with sin and selfish ambition. Our founding fathers believed that inherent nature of man needed to held in check. They believed government led by men needed to have checks and balances, hence the three branches with very defined responsibilities sharing governing authority. They wanted to prevent one individual from becoming the sole ruler/dictator/king. Liberty and freedom depend on the independence of individuals AND God's mercy and grace.

Based on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, please arrange the following entities, starting with the highest source of authority, and continue the list in descending order of authority, skipping any that do not apply: Academia, Congress, Constitution, God, Industry, Media, Professional Sports, Supreme Court, Voters.

God, Constitution.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

The physical life of the mother.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a born again Believer in Jesus Christ. My values are defined by God's infallible scripture. My Christianity is the grid of my political decision making. My time in the legislature has reflected that in my votes and the legislation I support.

Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?

Very Conservative

Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.

As stated previously, I have voted my Christian values on marriage. (man & woman only) Life - I have carried and passed significant legislation to protect Life and defund PP. I have helped fellow colleagues with their legislation that support those values. I am equally conservative on fiscal issues. I was one of only 12 Republicans who voted NO on the small business-killing margins tax. (which was passed by R's) I worked to try and kill it with those few R's opposing the bill. I have voted against budgets that I felt did not reflect fiscal restraint. I am also an active defender of liberty, parental rights and privacy rights. I have carried and passed legislation protecting the personal DNA of our children. I stopped DPS from collecting more information than the law allowed on individuals. I have protected parental rights to decide on what vaccines their children receive and prevented the automatic placement in a state database. My votes are reliably conservative. VERY.

Additional comment from candidate:

I am a fighter for the things I believe. I am running again for re-election because I offer leadership and experience for my district. God has allowed me many opportunities to accomplish things that have set our state apart from the rest of the country. It is not by accident that Texas leads the nation in job creation and the protection of Life. However, we are being faced with attacks on our fundamental Christian beliefs and principles. Talk is cheap. Action requires strong conviction and a proven record of standing against those who wish to destroy our religious liberties. I have that. I will continue the fight should the voters allow me another opportunity.
