What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
Our Founding Fathers fled a government which did not let the peoples' voice be heard. It was their intent and design to establish a government where the peoples' voice could be heard by a responsive Government. A government where an elected official would serve their dutiful civil servant time and return to the community for which they came and once again walk shoulder-to-shoulder with the people they had served, honorably and with integrity

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I Believe in only One God, a Living God. We just celebrated the birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ who was sent here to walk among us and later deliver us from our sins by dying on the Cross. We celebrate his Resurrection at Easter and celebrate his Last Supper partaking of wine-symbolic of His blood and bread-symbolic of His body. My Faith is my guiding light and is shared throughout my family. My values are based upon Judeo-Christian values and are again guided by the Bible and Ten Commandments. As a Farmer, I know planting, growing and harvesting crops is in the hands of the Lord. The soil I till, the rains that nourish and the bountiful harvests are all gifts from Him. It is through Him we, the Believers, will enjoy Life Everlasting.
Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?
Very Conservative
Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.
I served over 23 years in the military retiring JAN 2001. After watching soldiers I trained go to war, I volunteered from retirement in JUL 2007 through July 2008 serving a year in Iraq with the mission to rebuild the Iraqi Army. I was again, called out of retirement in April 2010 for 3 years at Army Sustainment Command-ASC, transferring a mission from the Pentagon to ASC at Rock Island Arsenal to equip the Army more efficiently saving taxpayers dollars. Along this journey, I worked with Great Americans from all military branches to include civilians. I also served with Great military/civilians from from Australia, Netherlands, Germany, Britain, Poland & Iraq; all with the same goal and mission to maintain national security for their country....their home. I served 17 years on the AlWood Board of Education and was re-elected several times. Community members recognized my social and economic values in this agriculture community were similar to their own.

Additional comment from candidate:
I will serve the People of the 74th District and the State of Illinois with honesty, integrity and honor. I support term limits.I won't accept a pension or insurance. I completed one career, serving over 27 years in many Army Command/leadership positions and I am not seeking another career or pension. This primary, as coined by the Galesburg Register Mail, is a "listening tour". I have my bucket list of ideas, but it is the people in the 74th District who I will represent in Springfield gathering their ideas and suggestions for streamlining and downsizing government. My approach to better serving you includes: Educate veterans on their Federal and State medical/employment benefits; Quality Education for students in K thru 12; Provide services to developmentally disabled; advocate for Police Forces, First Responders and the Illinois National Guard; Reduce regulations, (specifically for farmers and other small business owners); Cut spending to balance the budget and Protect the unborn
