What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
The founding documents are replete with references to need for the separation of powers, due to man's nature to concentrate power resulting in tyranny and allowing those in power to dictate the habits of others.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
While I do believe that life begins at conception. I do admittedly struggle with the idea of, not allowing this decision to be made by the mother and father when the life of the mother is at risk.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a Christian, which to me, is to say that I have accepted Jesus Christ as my personal savior and have a personal relationship with him. I believe he died to absolve us of our sins and while I am far from perfect (don't tell my wife I said that) I aspire to live my life according to the principles he has taught us. Not that our works will pave the way to heaven, but, because faith without works is dead. I believe we are to be servants to others and examples for others to see Him. I believe very strongly that this is the single biggest virtue missing from the hearts of too many in government today, and that until we start electing God-fearing, people with a servant's heart, we will continue to witness the decline of our state and our country. I have no desire to govern over others and I have a healthy skepticism toward anyone who does. I am running to be state representative because I believe FIRMLY that we are in dire need of God-fearing, principled leaders in Springfield.
Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?
Very Conservative

As a village trustee, I have fought against the Prevailing Wage Ordinance, Filibustered against an unfair 50-year property tax SSA, and have been the face and voice of transparency in our village. Additional comment from candidate:
It is important to me that people understand that this campaign is not about me. I have ABSOLUTELY NO ASPIRATIONS of being a politician. I am not looking for a paycheck... I am not taking a pension... I don't want power and I don't need prestige. To me, my campaign to "Take Back Illinois" is about something much bigger. There is a great deal of frustration and apathy toward government, today – and understandably so. I believe we are in dire need of God-fearing, principled leadership in Illinois and I will strive, every day, to be an example of that. I will be ever mindful that I am there to serve the people, to enrich the taxpayer and to empower families - and I will be ever vigilant in my fight against the career politicians who are there to serve, to enrich and to empower themselves.
