What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
They were mindful of the abuses of power demonstrated by the King of England, and were mindful of the abuses men were capable of without limits and checks on their own power. The three branches were a means of safeguarding citizens from government and from themselves.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
If and only if the abortion is deemed absolutely medically necessary to save the life of the mother, and the mother, if capable of doing so, gives consent to the procedure.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe that Jesus Christ is the son of the living God, that he was sent to this earth by his heavenly father to provide mankind a means of reconciliation to God for our sin, that he, being without sin, himself, was crucified for the sins of all mankind, and that he rose from the grave, all according to the promises of the Old Testament scripture. I believe that this same Jesus is now sitting at the right hand of our heavenly father, patiently waiting for all those who would hear the message of his life, death, and resurrection to believe on him, trust in his power to save them, and to follow his teachings. I believe that those who do so are promised eternal life with this Jesus and with the Father.
Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?
Very Conservative
Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.
This is my first race for public office, so there is no public track record, so to speak. However, my service and leadership in various church and civic organizations all speak to my conservative, bible-based approach to issues. My 25+ years as an adult bible class teacher, as a worship leader, and as a lay speaker at a number of different churches all speak to the respect I have gained among my peers. The many times I have been asked to speak or sing at funerals or weddings or to open a public event with prayer speak to my being recognized as one who respects and honors God.

Additional comment from candidate:
As I state on the back of my campaign card, I am available to speak to large or small groups in your home, church, or civic organization. There is no better way to get to know a candidate than to see and hear the candidate in person, having the opportunity to discern the honesty and sincerity of that candidate.
