What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
Madison outlined this in Federalist Paper 51 ("Men are not angels"). Humans are inclined to look out for their own self interests. Humans are also inclined to seek safety and protection (as purportedly offered by King George) rather than liberty. The Constitutional Separation of Powers keeps any one branch of government from taking control of the others and promotes liberty over self-interest.
Based on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, please arrange the following entities, starting with the highest source of authority, and continue the list in descending order of authority, skipping any that do not apply: Academia, Congress, Constitution, God, Industry, Media, Professional Sports, Supreme Court, Voters.
1. God 2. Voters (governments derive authority from consent of the governed). 3. The Constitution 4. Congress & the Supreme Court (as co-equal branches of government) None of the others apply.
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
The intentional killing of an unborn child should never be allowed.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a Christian. I cannot separate my faith from who I am as a person, because my faith guides every decision I make. I have dedicated my candidacy to God.
Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?
Very Conservative
Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.
I am not an elected official but I do have a public record of conservative activism. I have worked to defend life, marriage, family, and the Second Amendment as an attorney and a lobbyist for Eagle Forum, Family PAC, and the Illinois State Rifle Association. I defended natural marriage in the US Supreme Court with an Amicus Brief submitted on behalf of my client Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse of the Ruth Institute. I was a delegate to the Republican National Platform Committee in 2012. My comments defending life and marriage are in the c-span archives. I spoke on religious liberty at C-PAC Chicago in 2012.

Additional comment from candidate:
Regarding question 9: I believe in spending limits and balanced budgets but would need more information before deciding whether or not to endorse the particular method outlined in the question. I could not answer question 12 because its premise is incorrect. We do not have "pure democracy" in America we have a representative republic. Furthermore, the Constitution was written to protect citizens from government not to "ensure" anything to the citizens (except the prevention of government interference in their lives).
