Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

I am 100% pro-life. An unborn child is worthy of the same legal recognition and protection as every other member of the human family. As such, I oppose legalized abortion. I make exceptions for instances such as ectopic pregnancies, where a mother's life is in danger.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I'm a Roman Catholic Christian.

Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?

Conservative

Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.

I'm a Burkean conservative with a Chestertonian streak. While many of my political positions mirror those of the American-right "Reagan coalition," my worldview is also informed by the sensibilities of my generation and my personal experience. I'm neither a "tea-party" nor an "establishment" Republican. As I have never run for office before, I don't have a voting record to reference. I invite anyone interested in my candidacy or my positions on various issues to contact me directly.

Additional comment from candidate:

I believe I can provide thoughtful, independent, and truly conscientious leadership that is sadly lacking in Illinois politics today. I grew up in the communities of the 24th District and am proud to live here now as an adult. I'm eager to offer my candidacy as a gift to the people of the District - these men and women helped form me into the man I am today, and they deserve better representation than what they are currently receiving. Voters can expect - and I hope and pray they will hold me to this! - an independent-minded representative who will be unafraid to cross party lines, to "think outside the box," and who will work diligently to make the 24th District a better place to live. I'm proud to offer the voters of the 24th District a real choice in how they are represented in Springfield, and would be truly honored and privileged to earn their trust as a State Representative.
