OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

Congress should repeal the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare).

Strongly Agree

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

The U.S. military should wait for militant Islamic groups to directly threaten our national security on our shores, rather than eradicate them now wherever they may be worldwide.

Strongly Disagree

The United States must maintain a nuclear arsenal that is safe, reliable, modern and numerically superior to those of potential adversaries.

Strongly Agree

I support legislation such as the First Amendment Defense Act (FADA) that would prohibit discrimination against individuals, organizations and small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Agree

The federal government should establish Common Core as a nationwide academic standard for high school graduation.

Strongly Disagree

I oppose the resettlement of Syrian refugees into the U.S. without proper vetting.

Strongly Agree

Current regulations on domestic oil exploration and drilling are more restrictive than are necessary.

Strongly Agree

It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has health care and a livable income.

Disagree

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which permitted our system of limited government.

Agree

More restrictive gun control laws are needed to protect public safety.

Disagree

The founders established pure democracy in the Constitution because they believed that it is the best form of government to ensure the safety and equitable treatment of all citizens.

Free enterprise and the right to private property turn mankind's natural self-interest into the most productive economic system there is.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Abortions should only be a viable choice to save the mother's life or in the case of rape or incest. Planned Parenthood should be cut from federal funding as long as they continue to use taxpayer money to fund abortions or other contraceptive measures.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

Our Founding Fathers established the concepts of separation of powers and checks & balances to ensure that one branch of government does not become too powerful. They wanted a government by and for the people; which is precisely why popular sovereignty is one of our principles of government. The Executive Branch must have constraints on Executive Actions taken by the president to prevent an absolute government that does not have the consent of the governed.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Roman Catholic, God fearing, pro-life candidate. I believe in and value the family and in parents who show their children proper morals, respect and individual responsibility. I feel that all Americans should value education as a tool for guaranteeing success and parents should have a choice in their child's education. I also believe that religion has been under attack in recent times in our nation and that we need to protect religious liberty.

Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?

Conservative

Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.

I believe in personal responsibility and empowering the individual. I believe in 2nd Amendment protections for Americans to be secure in their homes. I believe that life begins at conception and all life should be protected. I believe in the free-enterprise system, competition, and Capitalism. I believe that the United States should be less dependent on foreign oil and we should become more energy independent. I believe that we need to have a peace by force mentality as it pertains to our military and that we should regain a military policy of deterrence. I believe in smaller government and fiscal responsibility to get our deficits under control. I believe that a person should not be given preferential treatment based on race, but rather qualifications. I believe that terrorism is the biggest threat to this nation, not global warming.
