Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.

Publicly and without hesitation, I have stood for religious and individual liberties that are given to us by our creator. Whether it be at the local level with my wife and Hood County Clerk when the U.S. Supreme Court unlawfully ruled in favor of same sex marriage; or at the Texas Capitol when citizens went to Austin in order to pass a law to protect pastors from litigation (Pastor Protection Act), I stood. In addition, I have spent 30 years in law enforcement protecting the rights of individuals and I will continue to do that in the Texas House of Representatives.
