What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
The Founders understood there is a cycle of governance which leads to tyranny and the only way to insure that any form of government did not lead to tyranny was to seperate the powers between the functions that govern a nation. They brilliantly then added in check and balances between the three branches so as to insure no one branch could co-opt the limited powers of the other. This is why I answered disagree to #12 because the Founders did not want a democracy... they wanted a Republic.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
God is the center of my life. I have been a born again believer since I was 16 and have relied upon my faith to govern all aspects of my life including marriage, family and other relationships. I often tell folks I am a Christian, husband and father and these are the only titles I care about. Holding an elected office is a service and, if elected, I would treat the position no differently than any other service I have been called to undertake whereby I would bring a servant minded attitude to the position. I believe the Bible is the authoritavive word of God.
Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?
Very Conservative
Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.
I have associated myself with many groups and organizations which promote conservative principles. I regulary attend our local church (Lost Pines Bible Church). We homeschool our children. I am the head football coach of a local faith based sports program (Tribe Consolidated) where we conduct devotionals at every practice and pray with opposing teams after games. I have assisted our local Bastrop County Pregnancy Center on many occasions. I am a member of the NRA and the TSRA and I have a pending license to carry a firearm. I operate businesses which are in the least regulated industry (the internet) because I dislike government regulation and thrive on free market competition.

Additional comment from candidate:
I’m running for State Representative because I’m concerned about the direction of our nation and believe we need principled conservative leaders who are willing to make Texas as strong as it can be. I’m a Christian, husband and father, small businesses owner and conservative Republican. I am an advocate of free markets, limited government, fiscal responsibility, pro-life, pro-Second Amendment, secure borders and, the preservation of Judeo-Christian values in our culture.
