The United States must maintain a nuclear arsenal that is safe, reliable, modern and numerically superior to those of potential adversaries.

I support legislation such as the First Amendment Defense Act (FADA) that would prohibit discrimination against individuals, organizations and small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
I believe law should be clearly and narrowly written to allow the doctor and patient to make a decision if and only if the life of the mother and child are in jeopardy and this would be the only available course of action. I am not open to this exception if it is so broadly constructed as to allow a path to continuing the atrocity of abortion in this country.
What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
I believe that mankind has a sin nature- one that is behind the truth of the saying "power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely." Without carefully defined, separate, and limited powers, a government of men and women- all born with this nature- will quickly become oppressive and a means of exercising evil.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
Everything I do and all that I am is rooted in my belief in a sovereign and good God, the perfect gift of His Son made necessary by my inability to ever be good enough on my own, and the authority of His Scripture. My worldview informs my belief that all life is precious and begins at conception, that God intends marriage to be between one man and one woman, and that power left unchecked will result in authoritarian rule. I'm an unashamed Christian, and, because of my faith, I am a proud and relentless advocate for life, marriage, limited government, personal responsibility, and the right to rise. Scripture also teaches that there is good and there is evil in this world, and that it is our responsibility to call evil for what it is and to be soldiers for Christ in this world.
Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?
Very Conservative
Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.
I am a proud military wife who has lived on 3 continents-I’ve watched my husband go off to war. I understand military families and what they go through both on active duty and after retiring. I have been advocating that national defense cannot just be a spending priority but THE spending priority. We must be strong to fight those who hate us, our faith, and our way of life and to keep our people safe.

Additional comment from candidate:
Those whose passion is seeking the glory of God, fighting for His truth, and standing for the cause of Christ will find a friend in me. I've gone toe to toe with the Obama Administration, the IRS, and even members of my own Party (including my opponent). I will not back away from the fight, and I will not shrink to the background in these desperate times. We need strong, conservative leaders of faith in Congress, and I am humbled to answer the call. I would appreciate the support of all who read this survey within my district, the prayers of all Christians eager to see this nation returned to what our Founders intended, and the financial support of all who feel called to contribute. We are engaged in a race that Politico has ranked the #3 primary in the country, and I ask all those who share our worldview to engage in this fight.
