14. What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers within the Constitution?
Power tends to corrupt, thus our Founders designed a system of checks and balances intended to protect against too much power being concentrated in the hands of too few people.

Engineering degree from Worcester Polytechnic; Served as an Army officer- Combat Engineers; Worked for IBM; Worked at Laclede Steel Company, responsible for 2,000 employees and the maintenance of seven mills; Master of Divinity degree from Covenant Theological Seminary; Served as conservative State Representative, who fought fiercely to protect life, parental rights, and gun ownership. He also worked hard to get concealed carry onto the ballot; As US Congressman, Akin continued to champion conservative principles. His very first vote in congress was against “No Child Left Behind.” In fact, he was the only congressman in Missouri to vote against it. Since then, his principled stands have continued. Todd voted against all the bailouts, the stimulus, and Obamacare. He is a member of the Science, Budget, and Armed Services Committees, and Chairman of the Seapower Subcommittee.
