What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
While many people have a degree of altruism and attempt to live by the golden rule, there are those who seem to crave the acquisition and use of power. As people with that disposition gain power, the tendency is to continue to attempt to acquire more power. This inevitably reduces any form of government to one kind of tyranny or another. The tripart system of government, executive, legislative and judiciary is the most successful attempt to limit that concentration of power disposition.
Capital punishment should not be allowed for any reason.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
When the chance that the unborn fetus will survive exceeds 51% which is currently at about 21 weeks gestation. That is the law until there is a constitutional amendment to change it.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I have a great respect for those who find their core beliefs within an established church. This is especially true when those beliefs are such that a pluralistic view of religion is acceptable to all. My personal belief is that every person must be afforded equality of opportunity, equality within the eyes of the law, and freedom of belief including the freedom of religious beliefs. The exception of course are religious beliefs that require all other belief systems to be subservient. The right of an individual to their own belief is the most sacred of our inalienable rights. That core belief in the absolute necessity to treat all with respect for their varied beliefs is because without that, all other core principals eventually falter. Simply put, your rights end where my rights begin.
