What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
In 1887 in a letter to Bishop Mandell Creighton, Baron John Acton wrote: "Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely". Our founding fathers created the three branches of government (Executive, Legislative and Judicial) as a method of checks and balance so that no one body would have absolute power.

Additional comment from candidate:
Additional information on answers to numbered questions: 1. Obamacare should be repealed and replaced with a program that works. 9. Requested answers are too limiting. More factors should be considered. 14. The Question and answer choices are too ambiguous to respond to. 15. Whether or not to display the Ten Commandments should be determined by the School District after input from parents. 18. The question is too broad to answer "yes" or "no". 22. Government should ensure that everyone has access to affordable health insurance but cannot guaranty a "livable income". Government does not create jobs. Business creates jobs. Government's obligation is to create an environment to enable businesses to grow and thrive and employ people who will be able to earn a "livable income". 23. Neither Planned Parenthood nor any other organization should receive state funding to perform abortions.
