I have a fundamental belief in limited government, that free and competitive markets work best, that freedom requires accountability and personal responsibility. Serving as a Senator and Senate President, I have routinely championed and supported limited government and free and competitive markets.
What is the best way to bring down unemployment?
Florida has consistently lowered its unemployment rate. Growing the economy.
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
The economics of this question are very difficult. The best answer to begin with is competition, price transparency and the reduction of regulations.
What role should government play in boosting the economy?
The US economy is currently in the 9th year of an economic expansion and Florida is well positioned for continued growth. However, the state must continue to diversify its economy, invest in infrastructure, retain a competitive tax rate and regulatory climate, and develop a better educated workforce.
What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
Through my business and community experience. Additionally, previously serving as Senate President, Senate Appropriations Chairman, Senate Judiciary Chair and most recently as a member of the Constitutional Revision Commission.
