Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
To protect the life of the Mother and in cases of rape and incest.
What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
The distrust of Government authority, and the belief that rights are naturally endowed by God.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
Christian/Catholic
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
I believe my track record speaks for itself. Throughout my years in the legislature I have voted to alleviate the burden on taxpayers, toughen abortion laws, make it easier for veterans to do business in Florida, and enact tougher immigration laws. This is shown by looking at my voting record during just this past session. This year I helped draft and pass the Florida First Tax Package as a member of the House Ways & Means Committee, cosponsored HB 41 which expanded funding for pregnancy crisis centers that help guide pregnant women to motherhood so that abortions are prevented, voted for HB 29 which expanded license fee waivers for service members, veterans, and their families, and cosponsored HB 9 which would have made sanctuary cities illegal in Florida.
What is the best way to bring down unemployment?
The best way to bring down unemployment is to have an educated public with moral and spiritual values and by cutting burdensome government regulations so that businesses can do business without the government getting in the way.
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
I would do this by empowering doctors, strengthening the doctor-patient relationship, and expanding consumer choice. Just this past session I personally sponsored a bill that expands healthcare options for Floridians. HB 1021 which was passed and signed into law as SB 660, updated Florida Statute so that healthcare sharing organizations could more easily operate in the state. Healthcare sharing organizations are a beautiful example of a group of people with similar religious and ethical beliefs coming together and sharing the cost of each other's medical expenses.
What role should government play in boosting the economy?
By ensuring free and open markets and by removing obstacles to free enterprise and competition.
What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
I am a proven conservative who has been a civil servant for 24 years at the county and state level. I have lived in Brevard County for essentially my entire life. This place is a part of me, and I plan to never stop fighting for the people of Brevard. The conservative beliefs of free markets, limited government, and family values are what I stand for and what I will continue to fight for up in Tallahassee.
