OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

Congress should repeal the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare).

Strongly Agree

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

The U.S. military should wait for militant Islamic groups to directly threaten our national security on our shores, rather than eradicate them now wherever they may be worldwide.

Agree

The United States must maintain a nuclear arsenal that is safe, reliable, modern and numerically superior to those of potential adversaries.

Strongly Agree

I support legislation such as the First Amendment Defense Act (FADA) that would prohibit discrimination against individuals, organizations and small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

The federal government should establish Common Core as a nationwide academic standard for high school graduation.

Strongly Disagree

I oppose the resettlement of Syrian refugees into the U.S. without proper vetting.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

When there are literally no other options and the life of the mother is in jeopardy as a direct result of the pregnancy.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

Man's sin nature.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a committed Christian. That is to say, I believe that, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." I believe that the Bible is the literal word of God, and I base my worldview upon what I have learned from reading it.

Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?

Very Conservative

Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.

I joined the Marine Corps at 19 in 2005 during a time of war, and although I ended up at a unit that did not deploy, I volunteered to deploy and went to Iraq in 2008. After serving in the Marine Corps for five years I worked for four more years as an intelligence analyst for the Defense Intelligence Agency. During that time I also owned a gun business, and wrote multiple pro-gun articles for the Washington Times and other publications. My beliefs and positions on the issues are publicly available on my website, and they support my description of "very conservative."

Additional comment from candidate:

A few months ago an article in the Washington Post described the party's backlash against Kevin McCarthy as the potential replacement to John Boehner for House Speaker as "a Republican revolution." I am part of that revolution, and like the average conservative voter, I am sick and tired of establishment RINOs saying one thing and doing another. They continue to vote for more spending, they continue to fund Obama's agendas, and they continue to shirk their responsibility in foreign policy, allowing our troops to fight and die in the Middle East without a declaration of war or even an Authorization for Use of Military Force (AUMF). It is clear that they need to be replaced, and I am doing my part. I believe that liberty, personal responsibility, integrity, and accountability are all traits that must be embraced by good leaders, and these are the traits I will take to Washington.
