What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
The Founders understood human nature. Their ideology was reflected in Federalist 51, which says, "If men were angels, no government would be necessary." The concept of human nature's innate selfishness led the Founders to design our structure of government in such a way so as to prevent an individual or group of individuals from controlling the government.
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
I am endorsed by Kentucky Right to Life. I am committed to the protection of life from conception onwards. All human life is sacred, including that of the mother and unborn baby. There may be instances where only one life can be saved.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I became a Christian when I was five years old and my mother explained to me what it means to know and have a relationship with Jesus Christ. I believe that Jesus forgave me of my sins when I prayed as a small child and surrendered my life to Him. Since that time, my faith has informed all of my decision.
