17. What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

Our Founding Fathers wisely sought government rooted in liberty and in local control by the people of the sovereign states. They understood the need for checks and balances and for a central, federal government that derives its power from the people and the states, not the other way around as so many big government liberals would have us believe today. America's Founders knew that absolute power corrupts absolutely, as with kings.

18. Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

I am pro-life, without exceptions, from conception through natural death.

19. Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian and I believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. I believe that Christ redeems me and saves me from my sins. I believe that Judeo-Christian values and principles are the underpinnings of our constitutional republic. I do not desire to see America "slouch toward Gomorrah" but rather undergo a new spiritual awakening where our leaders and our people earnestly turn to God for the answers to our social and cultural problems. I am an unabashedly pro-life, pro-family Christian conservative.
