15. Briefly list three (3) political or legislative issues of most concern to you, and explain why each is important to you.
(1) The government's primary purpose is the preservation of our rights and we must look at each piece of legislation from that view. If the law does not aim to preserve rights, we must ask if it is the role of government to become involved. (2) The income tax is one of the greatest threats to our productivity, efficiency and our privacy. Congress and the IRS has used the income tax to manipulate our behavior. I support the Fair Tax but we must significantly reduce the power, size and scope of our federal government so we can fund operations without the need for a broad, penalizing tax system. (3) Our economy and free enterprise system has been manipulated by a powerful Federal government that uses programs like T.A.R.P., Cash for Clunkers or Frank-Dodd to pick winners and losers. We must get back to a true market system and remove the hand of the government from so much of our economy.
16. Should abortion be allowed under extenuating circumstances? If so, what circumstances?
The Federal government should not be involved in medical decisions.
17. Based on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, please arrange the following entities, starting with the highest source of authority, and continue the list in descending order of authority, skipping any that do not apply: Academia, Congress, Constitution, God, Industry, Media, Professional Sports, Supreme Court, Voters.
