15. What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers within the Constitution?
I think it was because America's Founders had just witnessed a government where their rights were not established. As a result, they ensured that the rights of all Americans would be protected and divided the power of the government so that there couldn't be one person or group that could oppress the people. All this came because of their experiences.
16. Briefly list three (3) political or legislative issues of most concern to you, and explain why each is important to you.
1. Spending on foreign policy. We give too much money to foreign governments and militaries while we cut spending at home. Our government needs to make sure the needs of Americans are met before we start giving money to support foreign militaries and governments. 2. Education. We need to increase our focus and funding on education in America. We need to set our future generations up for success in handling all the issues that they will be facing in the future. 3. We need to put an end to partisan gridlock. We need to have a government that functions in a problem solving manner. Stating your views and insisting on the implementation of your policies is not the way to move the country forward. We need to move the country forward for all Americans, not just those that provide the money for elections.
17. Should abortion be allowed under extenuating circumstances? If so, what circumstances?
Yes, abortion should be allowed under extenuating circumstances. Some examples are rape, when the mother's health is in jeopardy, or in the case of severe birth defects.
18. Based on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, please arrange the following entities, starting with the highest source of authority, and continue the list in descending order of authority, skipping any that do not apply: Academia, Congress, Constitution, God, Industry, Media, Professional Sports, Supreme Court, Voters.
Constitution, Voters, Congress, Supreme Court
19. Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe in God and believe that my relationship between God and myself should stay between God and myself. I don't preach my views to other people nor do I expect other people to have the same views as me.
