15. What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers within the Constitution?
Mankind - not being God is fallible. Even the best of men have weaknesses and are vulnerable to temptation. Thus a system of checks and balances is best suited to ensure that no single person could emerge as the single and final authority. In a single word that thing in mankind is a sin nature.
16. Briefly list three (3) political or legislative issues of most concern to you, and explain why each is important to you.
1. Any and all attempts to infringe upon the second amendment. Current attempts at gun regulation only affect the law-abiding in an adverse way. Criminals will always obtain weapons. Law-abiding citizens should be encouraged and facilitated to be able to own guns and ammunition without undue registration and cumbersome intrusion by government. 2. Obamacare, Health and Human Services and the entire Department of Education. The constitution does not provide authority for such agencies and the attendant invasion of our rights they pose. 3. Agencies such as IRS, NSA, CDC and all other information collecting bureaucracies do not serve to enhance the concept of a free society are thus unconstitutional and should be abolished.
17. Should abortion be allowed under extenuating circumstances? If so, what circumstances?
NO! Abortion is the intentional termination of a living human being. Life begins at conception and the ending of that life is MURDER.
18. Based on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, please arrange the following entities, starting with the highest source of authority, and continue the list in descending order of authority, skipping any that do not apply: Academia, Congress, Constitution, God, Industry, Media, Professional Sports, Supreme Court, Voters.
God, Voters, Constitution, Congress Supreme Ct. That's it. My preferred choice for order would begin with God - Christ - Man - family - local community - local and state government - U.S. Constitution
19. Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
God's Word as expressed in the Holy Bible is the foundational text for all living. The ultimate human expression of the creator God is LORD JESUS CHRIST, the fullness of the Godhead bodily. There is no God but him. All other religions and concepts of God are inferior to Christ.
