Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

The U.S. military should wait for militant Islamic groups to directly threaten our national security on our shores, rather than eradicate them now wherever they may be worldwide.
Disagree
The United States must maintain a nuclear arsenal that is safe, reliable, modern and numerically superior to those of potential adversaries.
Strongly Agree
I support legislation such as the First Amendment Defense Act (FADA) that would prohibit discrimination against individuals, organizations and small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
I am, and always have been, pro-life. Life is precious and deserves our respect and protection. During my time in Congress, I have used my voice and vote to further the cause of life and defend the unborn. Science demonstrates that each human life begins at conception and I believe that the right to life guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution is vested in each human being. This right is sacred and must be defended. I support legislation protecting life at its earliest stages, and in response to the practices of convicted abortion provider Kermit Gosnell, I sponsor a ban on abortions performed after 20 weeks of pregnancy. Furthermore, I believe that taxpayer dollars should not be used to fund the end of innocent human life through elective abortion and have voted to prevent the use of public money for this practice.
What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
In Federalist 51, Hamilton wrote, "If men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary." The Founders understood that sin is our nature, and that sinful people ought not be given too much power over the lives of others.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
Matthew 22:36-40
Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?
Very Conservative
Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.
In my career I have been endorsed by groups representing every facet of the conservative coalition, from the National Rifle Association to National Right to Life; from the Chamber of Commerce to the Farm Bureau. In 2014, as head of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, I led the fight to fire Harry Reid and give Republicans control of the Senate, putting a halt to President Obama's legislative agenda.
