18. What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers within the Constitution?

If we had been perfect we would need no government. Greed and corruption are realities of the human condition. We are not perfect, we need a system of checks and balances. The best defense against these is to assure that no one branch of government can exercise unlimited power. This is the genius of our founding fathers in establishing the “Separation of Powers”.

19. Based on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, please arrange the following entities, starting with the highest source of authority, and continue the list in descending order of authority, skipping any that do not apply: Academia, Congress, Constitution, God, Industry, Media, Professional Sports, Supreme Court, Voters.

God, Voters, Constitution, Congress,Supreme Court

20. Should abortion be allowed under extenuating circumstances? If so, what circumstances?

Abortion ends a human life at any time after conception therefore it should only be lawful under the gravest of circumstances such as REAL danger to the life of the mother, rape or incest.

21. Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a born again Bible believing Christian who believes Jesus Christ is my Lord and savior and died for me on the cross. I am proud to admit that my faith informs my public policy opinions.I believe in one God in three person, Father, Son and Holy Ghost. I believe we are created in the image and likeness of God and are temples of the Holy Spirit. I believe the Bible to be the inspired word of God. I believe our Founding Fathers followed the same spiritual light when drafting our Declaration and Constitution. I believe firmly in the First Amendment which was designed to protect believers from government persecution.
