The tax reform we passed in 2017 includes vast improvements vs. the prior tax code. I believe we need to eventually transition to the "Fair Tax".

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?
Three primary changes would keep Social Security solvent: 1. Modify the cost of living adjustment 2. Means test benefits for upper income retirees 3. Adjust retirement ages to match changes in longevity In addition to the foregoing, government policy should encourage greater personal savings and investments.

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Remove current regulations which stifle competition in the healthcare and health insurance markets. Require healthcare pricing transparency.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
My educational information is included above. More importantly, however, I worked in the private sector for over 30 years as a "C-level" (CFO, COO, and CEO) officer in the energy industry. This experience as a person who "signed the front sides of paychecks" for tens of thousands of employees gives me a unique perspective on the impact of government policy on job creation and economic investment. Last, but not least, as a person who started life poor and achieved success, I have had a front row seat to the opportunities available through the "American Dream".

I have been married to a girl from the small town we grew up in (Stratford, TX) for 40 years; we have two fine young men as sons, a wonderful daughter-in-law, and the four coolest grandkids on the planet!
