What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?
If men were angels we would need no government, but because of sin we are fallen. The beauty of our Constitution and the wisdom of our Founders has been to recognize that human ambition must be restrained through limited government. Separating powers between levels of government and checking powers between branches of government is how for over 200 years we have secured rights and produced prosperity and freedom for our citizens.
Based on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, please arrange the following entities, starting with the highest source of authority, and continue the list in descending order of authority, skipping any that do not apply: Academia, Congress, Constitution, God, Industry, Media, Professional Sports, Supreme Court, Voters.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
The first duty of every elected representative is to secure and protect the natural and inalienable rights of the people. Without life, there is no liberty and there are no rights. You cannot have liberty, and you cannot pursue happiness, unless your right to life is first protected. As liberty-loving Americans who value the dignity of human life, we must end the scourge of abortion in our nation. All human life, however conceived, must be valued. All human life, in whatever stage of development, is precious. God had plans for all of us before the dawn of time and stitched us together in our mother's womb. As Americans of conscience work to build a culture of life, all pro-life legislators must answer their own call to protect life and end abortion--no excuses, no exceptions.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a sinner. Separated from God by my sin, I accepted His only son Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior in high school. Through His saving work on the cross--His blood and resurrection--I have the gift of eternal life and freedom from the bondage of sin. As a born-again Christian I acknowledge The Bible as the inerrant and inspired Word of God and the guide and authority on my life. My faith compels me to put my identity in Christ and not in earthly things. It does not and will not make me a perfect person in this life, but through the grace and peace of Christ I am given new wisdom every day to guide me through life more according to God's will. Through prayer, study, and fellowship I seek the spiritual maturity to make wise decisions. None of this does or should change when you enter public office. In fact, you will need your faith even more to pursue godly truth, justice, and virtue in public life. God will lead me, my faith will guide me, and His Spirit will sustain me.
Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?
Very Conservative
Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.
For the last decade I have been privileged to serve in and help lead the conservative cause in our state and nation. For over six years I served on the staff of Ohio Congressman Jim Jordan. Together, we fought for less spending, lower taxes, a strong national defense, and traditional values. When Congressman Jordan chaired the Republican Study Committee, I was tasked with working with conservative leaders and organizations to advance strong conservative public policy. We didn't just stand up to the Democrats. We stood up to the Republican establishment when they failed to stand with conservatives. For over two years I led a national conservative organization dedicated to uniting the conservative movement and working with top leaders to restore constitutional government. We led the fight to stop Obamacare, protect life, and stand up to President Obama's lawlessness. My track record makes me the most consistent and forceful conservative in this race.

Additional comment from candidate:
A Republican will be the next state representative for the 87th District. The choice before you is whether that Republican will be a consistent, principled, and courageous conservative who is ready to stand up and fight for our part of the state and our priorities. Ohio needs new conservative leaders who are willing to take on the career politicians and special interests of both parties who collude in the halls of power against our principles, our interests, and our values. We cannot afford another go along to get along politician who is just looking to climb the next rung of the latter and will never challenge the status quo. We need a leader who will serve us by fighting for our principles, our values, and our part of the state. I know how to be an effective conservative in a legislative body. I will work hard every day for you and your family and your priorities, not the priorities of the political elite. Together, we can ensure that the American Dream is alive and well in Ohio.
