15. What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers within the Constitution?
The sinful nature of man and the corrupting nature of power gave our Founders good reason to pause and separate the executive, legislative, and judiciary powers of government into three different branches rather than keep them all together. Simply put, power must be checked in order to not be abused.
16. Briefly list three (3) political or legislative issues of most concern to you, and explain why each is important to you.
1. Repealing Obamacare: Obamacare is a massive overreach of government that is threatening not only our freedoms, but our quality of healthcare. 2. My top priority to get the economy back on track so more Americans can find and keep good-paying jobs to provide for themselves and their families. 3. As a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and a member of the Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus, I believe 2nd Amendment must be upheld. No. Life begins at conception and we must do everything we can to protect the sanctity of life.
