The framers possessed a deep commitment to liberty, justice, and concern for the public good that is derived from their firm belief in natural rights given to us from our Creator. They had seen first-hand the failures of monarchial Great Britain, in which power was too heavily concentrated in the hands of the few to the detriment of the people.

20. Should abortion be allowed under extenuating circumstances? If so, what circumstances?
This is always going to be a personal matter. Abortion is a supreme tragedy especially from rape or incest. If used merely as a simple birth control measure, it is incredibly disrespectful of human life. The disregard of life has a corrosive effect on the fabric of society and has long ranging consequences. What if a future Bill Gates, or an Einstein, or a Gandhi, or an Edison was never born? What innovations will we never see as a result? How much of the next generation will be lost that could have been productive and tax paying? Will future historians equate the millions of babies that have been killed to a holocaust we could have prevented?
21. Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am Christian and attend St Luke's Lutheran Church in Federal Way. In addition to a spiritual belief, I have found that the following 7 core Army values have been useful in guiding me in my adult life both in and out of uniform: loyalty, duty, respect, self-less service, honor, integrity, and personal courage.
