OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

When the life of the mother is in jeopardy.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Agree

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

We need to prioritize our spending and our needs.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

This amendment was put in the constitution to prevent a state run or state sponsored church. Basically allows for all faiths to worship and flourish.

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

open up the insurance markets and encourage competition

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Agree

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Agree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

We have immigration laws in place. Lets follow them.

EDUCATION

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian, belong to the Lutheran Church. I believe in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. I live my life as close to Gods laws and direction as i can, recognizing that I am a sinner and will stumble and fall on occasion.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

I have served my faith in the community, in the church and in my family.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

Self employed for over 40 years, which in turn relates to life experience. Life experience gives the understanding of issues and the consequences of legislation.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

NO

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I believe we all have more in common than we don't regardless of party affiliation. Building on that we can develop relationships that will allow us to work together and find common solutions.

Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

Yes

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

gun ownership is a second amendment right. if we want to make a difference then we need improve our moral character and teach this to our children. right is right and wrong is wrong and it doesn't matter if everyone is doing it, wrong is still wrong!! Guns don't kill people, people kill people. If we view life as precious, then lets do something about the violence we see on the TV and in the movies, lets quit programming our kids to kill

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

Legislation to reduce the burden on our Childcare centers/early learning centers so they will be able to weather this storm we are all facing. Create a dedicated funding source to improve aviation infrastructure. Washington State is a center of aviation and aerospace. Create a long term residential home for children experiencing mental health issues. suicide prevention and recognition.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Racism is definitely a major issue in this country, and perhaps the world. We need to find and create ways to sponsor community based solutions to bring people together. Racism creates unrest and that is a threat to all we cherish. The potential damage of unchecked racism is unending. Legislation won't fix it, it will take changing hearts and minds. Acceptance of each other is paramount.
