OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

1. Free enterprise and the right to private property turn mankind's natural self interest into the fairest and most productive economic system there is, and are the key to national prosperity.

Strongly Agree

2. It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has health care and a livable income.

3. The United States must maintain a nuclear arsenal that is safe, reliable, modern and numerically superior to those of potential adversaries.

4. Government should enforce laws designed to protect the border and to prevent illegal entry of persons into the country.

5. The Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) should be repealed by Congress.

Strongly Agree

6. Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

7. Marriage is a union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Disagree

8. Efforts to bring Islamic law (shariah) to America do not pose a threat to our country and its Constitution.

No Answer

9. Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which permitted our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

10. Governments should pay to develop wind and solar energy solutions when these are not economically feasible.

11. More restrictive gun control laws are needed now to protect public safety.

13. People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Neutral

14. What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers within the Constitution?

Polybius's observed cycle of kingship inevitably giving way to successive stages of tyranny, aristocracy, oligarchy, democracy, and anarchy, at which point a strong leader would emerge and establish himself as king, thus starting the cycle over again. In Question #6 I disgree with only one word - legal. Were it stricken, I would Strongly Agree. In Question #7 government has absolutely nothing to do with marriage, nor marriage with government. Politicans stay out.

15. Briefly list three (3) political or legislative issues of most concern to you, and explain why each is important to you.

Ending the War on Drugs. It is the most expensive war in American history. It has lasted the longest, and has accrued more casualties, than all other American wars combined. We have never won a single skirmish in this war - as soon as one 'drug kingpin' is taken off the streets, another takes her/his place. It is an unbelievable horror and Drug Warriors are the real criminals. End illegal work immediately by selling Green cards for $50,000 each. If an employer is employing someone without a valid Green card, they must buy it for him/her immediately. End of problem. Demilitarize our police, and quit using our military as peacekeepers. We should defend our borders with the strongest military in the world, bar none. We should not believe democracy can be exported by shoving the barrel of a gun down a foreigner's throat and threatening to pull the trigger. We should be a peaceful nation, not a peacekeeping nation. Other countries must solve their own problems, as must we.

16. Should abortion be allowed under extenuating circumstances? If so, what circumstances?

Abortion should neither be allowed nor banned by government, in any circumstance. Federal and state governments should recognize they have only exacerbated a thorny problem, and the only level of government that should deal with abortion issues should be local government. The village. Solutions may initially vary across the country but, with time, this will minimize the number of abortions performed. The War on Drugs did not reduce drug use, and has killed and injured millions. The War on Poverty increased poverty. The War on Terror increased the number of terrorists. A government sponsored War on Abortion is a horrible idea, doomed to failure.

17. Based on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, please arrange the following entities, starting with the highest source of authority, and continue the list in descending order of authority, skipping any that do not apply: Academia, Congress, Constitution, God, Industry, Media, Professional Sports, Supreme Court, Voters.

[My god is the highest source of authority over me, but does not have authority over you or your god], Voters can change the Constitution, Congress and the Supreme Court must both be in agreement for a legislative law to have any authority.

18. Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

My spiritual beliefs are private and I do not discuss them in a political context. My overriding value, as stated on every page of my website, is: "In all that I do, at all times and with all people, I will conduct my affairs, the affairs of my campaign, and the affairs of my office, with unwavering integrity." In addition, my father ingrained into my consciousness at a very early age - Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Have wiser words ever been spoken?
