Born, raised, baptized, confirmed, and ordained as an elder in the Presbyterian Church USA; converted to Unitarian Universalism in 2011. Every compos mentis adult human should be treated equally under the law. Corporations are not people; they cannot have religious beliefs. Money is not speech; elections should not be for sale. Preventive care is cheaper and more effective than emergency care; Medicaid should be expanded to cover the working poor. Employment is not slavery; every job should provide a living wage, safe working conditions, and predictable days off. Every school should be a good school, every job should be a good job, and every business should be an asset to the community. Government is to provide for the common defense and promote the general welfare.
