America's Founders recognized that power can often lead to those in power misusing this authority. This is one of the main reasons they set up checks and balances in the federal systems as well as checks and balances between the federal oversight and local control. They also learned from prior experiences of other overseers as well as the failed Articles of Confederation.

The government was set up to be a representative government of, for, and by the people and we have gotten a long way from that and need to get back to that. We cannot do this by continuing to vote in party representatives rather than those to represent the people. The second issues is our national debt. It has been vastly accelerated over the past twenty to thirty years and we must gain control of this by first improving the inefficiencies and technologies in the federal system. The third issue is the countries infrastructure. It has been long neglected from our roads, to our energy transportation, our water infrastructure, and also our information infrastructure. Infrastructure is the back bone to economic development and we cannot afford to continue to neglect this.
