OTHER INFORMATION
QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
Strongly Agree
I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
To save the life of the mother.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Strongly Agree
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree
I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.
Yes
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
The separation of church and state was meant to protect church from state; a state that declares religion off limits in public life is a state that declares itself supreme over all religious values.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
Agree
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?
The United States needs to maintain a strong and efficient military to reduce threats posed by bad actors worldwide. And we have to have security at our borders, so that we understand who is coming into the country and for what purposes.
HEALTHCARE
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.
Strongly Disagree
I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.
Strongly Disagree
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
1.) Health insurance carriers would not be able to rescind, increase rates, or refuse to renew one’s health insurance simply because a person developed a new medical condition after enrollment. 2.) Individuals with high risk medical conditions would have affordable access to state-run Guaranteed Coverage Pools under which their health care costs would be subsidized with federal grants and further contained by any state-enacted premium-setting restrictions. 3.) You can elect COBRA and then move to an individual plan with guarantee issue rights without having to exhaust COBRA first. 4.) Everyone seeking coverage in the individual marketplace would have guaranteed issue protections and could not be refused a plan based on the enrollee’s health status, medical condition, claims experience, receipt of health care, medical history, genetic information, evidence of insurability, or disability. 5. 1332 waivers More info here: https://www.jeanneforcongress.com/issues/
ECONOMY
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.
Strongly Disagree
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?
I am fully committed to preserving Social Security benefits for current retirees, as well as those who are approaching retirement age. Social Security is a sacred promise to Americans, and Congress can protect it if we act in a fiscally responsible way. Also, in seeking solutions to ensure benefits for future generations, I would oppose risky “quick-fix” financial moves some favor that I believe would further undermine Social Security. Instead, I want to instill greater fiscal accountability for all federal spending while examining practical means of giving younger individuals more control over how the money they contribute to Social Security is spent.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
The federal government spends six million dollars a minute, each minute, every day of the year. This unfettered spending costs each American family over $23,000 a year. Federal government spending is out of control, and it is the responsibility of Congress to fix the problem. If federal spending is not reigned in, we will find it more and more difficult to avoid the looming financial crisis posed by the retirement of the Baby Boomers and the tens of trillions of dollars in unfunded liabilities.
Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?
Plans to cancel student debt would put too much strain on the national debt. I supports finding ways to bring down the cost of higher education. But with the nation over $22 trillion in debt, I opposes bailing out student loans with taxpayer dollars. I support reforms such as loan restructuring, incentivizing colleges to adopt income share agreements (like Purdue); Taxing endowments over a certain amount to incentivize investment in scholarships
IMMIGRATION
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Agree
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.
Agree
Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.
Agree
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
I am steadfastly against illegal immigration and amnesty for illegal immigrants. My strategy for dealing with the many problems posted by illegal immigration is threefold: secure the border, robustly enforce our immigration laws and fix the system so that it works for those who want to come to our country legally. Our country has always been a nation of immigrants. In large part, this is what has made us great, but illegal immigration is unfair to the many people from around the world who want to come to the United States legally, as well as being a serious threat to our homeland security.
EDUCATION
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.
Agree
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
I have an A-Rating with the NRA. I am a Legal Gun Owner. My husband and sons are hunters. School safety should be prioritized. Mental Health should be addressed in a more serious manner. In every mass shooting, the one constant is that the shooter indicated to someone that they were going to act. There has to be a reporting mechanism, that respects due process.
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.
Strongly Disagree
I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.
Disagree
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
The Electoral College should be abolished.
Disagree
In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?
Top Three Areas: 1. Tax and Budget 2. Healthcare / Insurance 3. Education Reform
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Racism and White Supremacy are evil ideologies. While we have seen the emergence of new strains of ideologically motivated terrorism and targeted mass violence, we have also seen violence in cities like Chicago increase. Getting to the root of the problem is complex, and a range of issues - economic and social - need to be solved to maintain domestic security.
ABOUT YOU

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No.
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
The 2020 election will decide the direction of our nation for decades to come. The choice is simple: do you want more freedom in your life or more government? Do you want leaders who represent you or leaders who rule over you? I stand on the side of more freedom. And I have a long track-record as a state legislator of standing up for my constituents. Whether the issue was taxes, unnecessary regulations, government transparency, or corruption, I stood with my district - even when it meant standing alone. That’s because when I look at the issues facing our nation, I know YOU are the solution. The people of the Sixth District are among the most enterprising people in the world: natural problem-solvers with an incredibly generous spirit. I stand on my reform record of breaking up scams being run on taxpayers and holding government acco
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree

I am Catholic.
