14. What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers within the Constitution?
The founders recognized the tendency of man to consolidate power progesssively in the form of monarchies, which tended to becme tyrannical in stages over time. It is natural and proper given the history of the times to conclude these things, though I belive that there are moral and principled leaders who are capable of rising above the limitations recognized by the founders. the system established by the founders provides a sound check on these tendencies.
15. Briefly list three (3) political or legislative issues of most concern to you, and explain why each is important to you.
1. We must return the courts to the people. This issue is not one widely discussed among candidates for legislative positions, but it is the biggest issue of our times in terms of the incremental loss of individual liberties we are experiencing. The courts no longer belong to the people, but are controlled by lawyers and bar associations, and are no longer the center of self-government they have been in our history. My campaign materials adress these issues extensivley. 2. We must check the abuses of the banking industry and the influence and control of big corporate interests in our system. As set forth in my campaign materials, the modern corporate form is a creation of lawyers and courts, and is far beyong what our founders envisioned for this form of business - indeed, it is not true free enterprise, which is the true engine of American excpetionalism. 3. We must find ways to return ands maintain the Article IV republican form of government, which I will do.
16. Should abortion be allowed under extenuating circumstances? If so, what circumstances?
I am personally opposed to abortion, and would very much like to live in a world where it is simply not a viable option. As a political conservative, however, who believes in a very limited government according to constitutional principles, and separate spheres of political and religious/moral influence, I do not believe that the regulation of these choices is a proper matter for our government. I fully support the right to oppose the practice of abortion, and support every and all efforts, short of violence and psychological intimidation, to protest, pray, and speak out in any and every way to end the practice, but it is simply not something that our government should be involved in. I believe ultimately, however, that it is a matter between a woman, her family, her doctor, her counselor, and her God. The role of our government is to promote life-affirming policies, to promote the general welfare, and the general welfare is in having a fair, just, and moral world.

18. Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a christian man, who emulates the life of Jesus whebn he was here on earth. I have a strong moral underpinning and want to create a more moral and just world, and am not someone who can just take a position in a yes or no fashion on a form questionnaire in order to secure the political support of a block of voters for an election. I am not beholden to any interest, except the shared interest in peace, justice, liberty, and prosperity for all.
