I am not responding to this questions for the same reason I answered the majority of your questions above as “no answer” because they are not relevant to the Comptroller’s position. The Comptroller's position is not a legislative one; it is an accounting job in the public sector. I am the only CPA, in fact the only accountant, running for the top accounting position in the state. I have 16 years experience as a Controller in the private sector, and have public sector accounting experience as well. Unlike many who have run for this position in the past, I do not see it as a political stepping stone. I am a CPA and a Controller who wants to use my experience and expertise to help fix the mess Illinois is in. I have no intention of running for any other statewide office.
