RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Any. Abortion is a personal healthcare matter that should remain completely between a patient and their providers. Government should stay out of this issue entirely.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Neutral
Ideally, I would like to get government out of healthcare. However, wherever there is government funding of healthcare, Planned Parenthood and similar providers should be treated the same as any other recipient.
If Roe v. Wade is overturned by the US Supreme Court, how far are you willing to go to roll back North Carolina's statutory abortion law that allows abortion up to 20 weeks?
I oppose any law that restricts access to abortion.
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Agree
This is also an issue that should remain between people and their healthcare providers, without any government involvement whatsoever.
Would you support a limitation on chemical abortion that protects women from taking abortion pills without the care and supervision of a qualified physician?
No
All people have the right to choose their own healthcare options. Government should not mandate or limit this fundamental human right.
ECONOMY
The government should do more to close the gap between the working class and the wealthy.
Agree
We need to end all inflationary policies, which are a silent transfer of wealth from poor to rich. We must end all corporate welfare, starting with the $1billion in incentives in the current state budget. Let's also repeal all laws and regulations that protect corporations' profits, market share, or liability for any harm caused. Repeal occupational licensing, small business taxes, and any other laws that limit people from seeking better employment.
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
It should be eliminated.
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Disagree
All relationships, including commercial ones, should be mutually voluntary.
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
None whatsoever.
What should be the relationship between the church and the state?
I am for total separation of church and state. Churches, religion, or spiritual practices of any kind should not be regulated by the state.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
D) Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
Only in private circumstances. Schools and businesses should be free to set their own vaccination policies. Government should never be granted the power to require vaccinations.
EDUCATION
States should allow parents to use the Opportunity Scholarship Program to fund private school for their children.
Agree
Where government does continue to fund education, the funds should follow students, not systems. I am in favor of any program that give parents more choices in education.
In what situations does a parent not have the right to know what their child is being taught in public school?
None. There should be no limitations on parents' involvement in their children's education.
When should parents be restricted from speaking in school board meetings?
All citizens have the right to be heard by public officials in open meetings. There should be no restrictions beyond the usual time limitations for anyone addressing the board.
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Disagree
While there are certainly many moral values from Judeo-Christian traditions that are instructive, our system of limited government is rooted in the right of all peaceful people to live their lives as they see fit, as long as they aren't taking away that right from others.
I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.
Neutral
I would prefer to abolish the growing laundry list of nondiscrimination laws in favor of a legal paradigm that firmly establishes the right of everyone to live their lives as they see fit without government defining it for them. But if we are going to continue down the current path, yes I do think gender identity should be protected like anything else already on the list.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Neutral
"Critical Race Theory" is a nonsense term, a completely made-up moral panic. We absolutely must have open and honest conversations about race in America. This ain't it.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
Your life belongs to you and no one else. It is up to you what you want to do with it, and you should have the freedom to pursue your own ambitions. I've personally found that being honest, kind, and grateful to people helps make it much easier.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Agree
We always had sufficient ways to verify a voter's eligibility before this nonsense issue arose.
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
There are several reforms we could implement to increase access to voting. I support automatic voter registration at age 18, just to cite one example. Also, eliminate ballot access restrictions so all citizens have an opportunity to run for office and vote for the candidates of their choice. I support the recently filed lawsuit that aims to open up eligibility to serve on the state and county Boards of Elections to all voters, not just Democrats and Republicans. I could take up the whole 5000 characters and more on this topic, so let me just say I am in favor of any and all changes in our laws that increase the ability of voters to participate in all parts of the electoral process, starting with unhindered access to the right to vote.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Yes. We need to end all government policies that institutionalize and promote racism and all other forms of bigotry. One prime example is abolishing the legal doctrine of Qualified Immunity, so that police and government officials can be held liable for violations of people's life and liberty. At the federal level, we must end our support for perpetual war, which is racist mass murder on a mass scale. Government can't regulate the racism out of people, but it can do so much to set a better example. To a large degree it is up to us to stop voting for politicians who aim to divide us against each other while persecuting minorities. The racism that rises to the level of being a true threat to domestic security comes from government policies and the mouths of politicians.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
Environmental laws and regulations should be completely rewritten, to focus on fully compensating anyone who is harmed in their person or property by pollution. The current regulatory model protects major corporate and government agency polluters by limiting or even eliminating liability for the consequences of their actions. We can do a better job of regulating away environmental harms by demanding that those harmed by pollution by fully compensated for their losses, including criminal charges as appropriate when people are physically harmed.
ABOUT YOU
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
Above all, to protect the rights of the people. In our current economic system, I do believe there is a role for government to undertake those projects that are socially necessary but inherently unprofitable. Things like a system of justice, national defense, housing for those who can't work, matters necessary to public health. Ideally, at some point in human advancement we will no longer need government, but until then we must keep it as limited as possible.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Choose not to answer
I am totally unconcerned with what is considered liberal or conservative. The best description of my political views is I will always side with individual liberty against government authority.
Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).
haha anyone is welcome to google me
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No.
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
I am asking to be your public servant, and I take that very seriously. I am always open to hearing from the people in my district about how I can best serve them and fight for what they need to survive and thrive. I believe I have some great solutions, but my public policy ideas must always be tested and informed by what actually works for people in real life.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Strongly Disagree
Police and government officials, above all others because of the public trust we have placed in them, must be held liable for violations of people's Constitutional rights.
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Neutral
I support redirecting funds for law enforcement back to the taxpayers. Just simply ending the War on Drugs we can liberate a lot of government resources devoted to policing and criminal justice. That being said, I do support local governments using mental health professionals and other more peaceful responders for calls that do not require police.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
Banning stuff simply does not work. It didn't work with alcohol, or drugs, or abortion, and it certainly won't work with guns. The 3D printer has made any restrictions on gun ownership obsolete. We have to find other ways to increase peace in our society. We have to do the hard work of getting murder out of our hearts. That starts with ending killing as government policy.
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
Strongly Disagree
Victims of violence should be able to sue the people who committed the act of violence.
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
Would you support legislation that prohibits biological boys from competing on girls sports teams?
No
This anti-trans hysteria is shameful and I am having none of it. Transgendered people should be able to participate in society just like everyone else. Trans kids exist, get used to accepting them as human beings with rights just like everybody else. I am strongly opposed to any public policy that legislates gender identity.
