QUESTIONNAIRE

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

1. Free enterprise and the right to private property turn mankind's natural self interest into the fairest and most productive economic system there is, and are the key to national prosperity.

Neutral

2. It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has health care and a livable income.

Agree

3. The United States must maintain a nuclear arsenal that is safe, reliable, modern and numerically superior to those of potential adversaries.

Strongly Disagree

4. Government should enforce laws designed to protect the border and to prevent illegal entry of persons into the country.

Agree

5. The Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) should be repealed by Congress.

Strongly Agree

6. Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Disagree

7. Marriage is a union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Disagree

8. Efforts to bring Islamic law (shariah) to America do not pose a threat to our country and its Constitution.

Disagree

9. Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which permitted our system of limited government.

Strongly Disagree

10. Governments should pay to develop wind and solar energy solutions when these are not economically feasible.

Strongly Agree

11. More restrictive gun control laws are needed now to protect public safety.

Disagree

12. The founders established pure democracy in the Constitution because they believed that it is the best form of government to ensure the safety and equitable treatment of all citizens.

Strongly Disagree

13. People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Agree

14. The federal government should establish nationwide standards (such as Common Core) for high-school graduation.

Strongly Disagree

15. What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers within the Constitution?

I believe humans to be flawed in many ways and am not so sure that a casual read of the Federalist Papers gives us insight enough into what the founders were thinking or planning when they set separation up as a tenet.

16. Briefly list three (3) political or legislative issues of most concern to you, and explain why each is important to you.

Single-Payer Health Care. We need it. We already pay enough out in public money to have it (60 cents of every health care dollar currently spent is tax money). 50 cents of that would be enough to cover a single-payer system that gave free care to everyone. Rich people could then still continue to utilize their wealth to get even better care for themselves. End corporate welfare. GE, McDonald's and WalMart are all drains on our national piggy bank and we need to stop giving these welfare queens our money. They do nothing for us in return. Its not economic development to give public money to a for-profit business that doesn't create jobs at a living wage. Raise the minimum wage to $15 so that we no longer have to pay benefits to all the working poor unlucky enough to work for the welfare queens like WalMart and McDonald's. In Sweden, they pay a fry cook at Burger King $22.00 an hour and Big Macs are only 50 cents more. No more welfare. Workers are self-sufficient. It's a no-brainer.

17. Should abortion be allowed under extenuating circumstances? If so, what circumstances?

Yes. Abortion should be allowed any time a woman would like one. We are overpopulated and unless an anti-abortion activist is willing to adopt the babies, I would say anyone who wants an abortion should have access to free, safe, abortions without any limitation prior to he first trimester.

18. Based on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, please arrange the following entities, starting with the highest source of authority, and continue the list in descending order of authority, skipping any that do not apply: Academia, Congress, Constitution, God, Industry, Media, Professional Sports, Supreme Court, Voters.

God, Constitution, Supreme Court, Congress, Voters.

19. Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a spiritual being and I believe that the love and energy making up each of our physical beings is "God" by some others' definitions. I believe we all have an innate sense of right and wrong and that this is also "God".
