This candidate voted against H.R. 485, the Protecting Care for All Patients Act, which would prohibit federal health programs from using discriminatory measures known as Quality-Adjusted Life Years (QALYs.) A vote against the bill is a position which would hasten death, since it indicates support for the reduction or elimination of care for people with various disabilities and chronic conditions.

This Congressman voted against H.Con.Res.9 "Denouncing the horrors of socialism" which denounces socialism and opposes the implementation of socialist policies in the United States.
