OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

1. Free enterprise and the right to private property turn mankind's natural self interest into the fairest and most productive economic system there is, and are the key to national prosperity.

Strongly Agree

2. It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has health care and a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

3. The United States must maintain a nuclear arsenal that is safe, reliable, modern and numerically superior to those of potential adversaries.

Strongly Agree

4. Government should enforce laws designed to protect the border and to prevent illegal entry of persons into the country.

Strongly Agree

5. The Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) should be repealed by Congress.

Strongly Agree

6. Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

7. Marriage is a union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

8. Efforts to bring Islamic law (shariah) to America do not pose a threat to our country and its Constitution.

Strongly Disagree

9. Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which permitted our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

10. Governments should pay to develop wind and solar energy solutions when these are not economically feasible.

Strongly Disagree

11. More restrictive gun control laws are needed now to protect public safety.

Strongly Disagree

12. The founders established pure democracy in the Constitution because they believed that it is the best form of government to ensure the safety and equitable treatment of all citizens.

Strongly Disagree

13. People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Disagree

14. The federal government should establish nationwide standards (such as Common Core) for high-school graduation.

Strongly Disagree

15. What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers within the Constitution?

They knew mankind was fallen and sinful. Therefore checks and balances were essential to pit ambition against ambition. They also knew that certain limits were essential to prevent amassing too much power into the ruling class' hands.

16. Briefly list three (3) political or legislative issues of most concern to you, and explain why each is important to you.

1. Audit the Federal Reserve and ultimately take away its monopoly power over our currency. Fiat money (paper money that is defined instead of having actual value) is a dangerous power for any government to possess. NO nation has ever had fiat currency and not destroyed the value of that currency. 2. END the NSA's spying on innocent Americans. The NSA is storing our emails, internet activity, and in many cases actual phone calls. If not stopped immediately, this will lead to further abuses of power. 3. Repeal the 16th Amendment and abolish the IRS. I think it abhorrent for the federal government to claim a portion of the fruit of my labors. That is covetousness. It would be far better for the states and local jurisdictions to be the only taxing authority.

17. Should abortion be allowed under extenuating circumstances? If so, what circumstances?

No. However, we must also reconcile 1 Samuel 15:3. Biblical morality is often taken as the appropriate basis for defense of life. In 1 Samuel 15, King Saul is told by God to kill the Amalekites including “men and women, children and infants.” At the very least, if ever there is a case in which abortion is morally permissible, it must be through a condemnation under the law which acknowledges that it is in fact the taking of a life.

18. Based on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, please arrange the following entities, starting with the highest source of authority, and continue the list in descending order of authority, skipping any that do not apply: Academia, Congress, Constitution, God, Industry, Media, Professional Sports, Supreme Court, Voters.

1 God 2 Voters 3 Constitution 4 Congress 5 Supreme Court I would urge you to include "States" with the list. In that case, I would suggest: 1 God 2 Voters 3 States 4 Constitution 5 Congress 6 Supreme Court

19. Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian. I believe that Jesus is my savior and that it is my duty to love and serve Him and to love others. All issues must be filtered through the lens of an eternal perspective. Charity happens when private individuals give of their wealth, and this should be encouraged. However, when government gives of the people's wealth, that is theft.
