QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
Strongly Agree
I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Never. Simply put abortion is murder; no matter what verbiage is used or what narratives are spun, life begins at conception and EVERY life is precious. One slight exception is that if the abortion would actually and provably save the life of the mother and it is preformed, there should be no penalty attached to that abortion. But, otherwise, there should be no exceptions at all.
ECONOMY
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.
Strongly Disagree
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
Over allocation of general funds to state universities Improper allocation of MDOC funds Public assistance
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Strongly Agree
Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.
Strongly Agree
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree
I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.
Yes
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
Any government involvement corrupts the authenticity of the church. The separation of church and state means that government (of any kind) can not be allowed to Inhibit religion. It means that the governments in the United States may not establish any religion, endorse one particular religion, nor may they pass or enforce any laws that prohibit the free practice of legitimate religions. As our Founders provided, beyond protecting the free practice of religion, Separation of Church and State keeps Government out of Religion. It does NOT keep Religion out of Government.
HEALTHCARE
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.
Strongly Disagree
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
The very first thing we as legislators must do is roll back heavy government involvement in the healthcare market. We must help bolster a competitive healthcare market, enticing more health insurers to offer coverage to Michiganders, consumers will be in a winning position. The private health insurance market, when allowed to compete (20 carriers each writing about 5% of the market in one State is ideal competition), will bring down insurance rates to their lowest possible levels. The private sector does a great job of insuring about 88% of our population - some type of a government-organized (not funded) facility (like Assigned Risk pools for Auto and Home insurance) can be organized where otherwise uninsurable individuals can be issued standard insurance by assignment to carriers. Blue Cross programs were created over 80 years ago specifically to handle Pre-Existing conditions, so that solution is decades old already. The Assigned Risk Facility can augment that.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
Agree
IMMIGRATION
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Strongly Agree
State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.
Strongly Agree
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
The "Melting Pot" theory is one of the USA's strengths. The idea that our wonderful country draws the best and brightest from nations across the country to come join us in our pursuit of the American dream is one of the pillars of what is the greatness of the USA. That being said, it is IMPERATIVE that our country uses a stringent and efficient vetting process for anyone looking to become a US citizen. Not only is it extremely important for public safety but it also in respect for all of those who have LEGALLY become American citizens.
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality that is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
My personal beliefs are based on the fact I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. What He did for us 2,000 years ago is all we need for each of us to gain eternal life in Heaven - other than the individual decision we each have to make to accept His offer - and Him - into our hearts, and confess out loud that He is Lord. Quoting John Adams: "Our Constitution is suitable only for a religious and morally upright people and wholly inadequate to the governance of any other."
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
Salutatorian of my Class @ Central Michigan University. Masters Deg @ GVSU in Public Admin. Rose thru the ranks of Govt Affairs @ Local Chamber, elected to its Board, then Board Chair. Elected & Served 5 yrs on City Council; Three 2-yr terms as State Rep. Elected to House Leadership 6 yrs; helped stopped Dem Gov Granholm liberal prgrms. Current Elected Twp Supervisor in Algoma Twp, where I played a key role in negotiating a $69M settlement from a water polluter in our town.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
I am a single Dad, raising 2 great middle school-aged kids who cares deeply about the State and Nation that they are growing up in. I am extremely concerned about the direction that our government is heading, including the departure from our Constitution and heading toward Socialism and the loss of more of our individual liberties. I love public service and have been doing it professionally for most of my career. I am a strong Constitutional Conservative and sometimes have a Libertarian on one or two issues. I am super dedicated to Pro-Life and Pro-Gun issues, defending and teaching our Constitution and restoring and preserving the American Federation of States.
JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY
I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.
Strongly Disagree
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.
Strongly Agree
2ND AMENDMENT
Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?
Yes
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
Gun control protects no one. As a matter of fact it makes good, God-fearing Americans targets to evil and malice. Self defense and self preservation are God-given rights granted to us by our creator and ensured by our founding documents, and no governing body has the right to take those away, period. To take it one step further, firearm regulations (i.e.,CPL associated fees) make things that much harder on lower income or impoverished Americans to have the means to protect themselves.
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.
Disagree
The Electoral College should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?
- Fixes the glaring issues in our election process and restores credibility to our elections; make voting Easier and cheating Harder. - Help further protect the life of unborn children. - Constitutional Carry rights for the State of Michigan - Prohibit toxic ideologies, like Critical Race Theory, from our public education curriculums - Repeal 1945 Emergency Powers of the Governor Act (Not needed because of 1976 Emergency Mgmt Act; old law allows Governor abuse of freedoms.) - More stringent legislation surrounding public assistance qualifications to help alleviate the fiscal drain due to fraud - Legislation to create more responsible allocation to MDOC from the State General Fund
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Absolutely. Tribalsim leads to division which is currently leading to a complete breakdown of civil stability across the nation. When the media (or elected officials) in our country start using race pandering to drive an agenda or narrative we almost over night see a toxic response in society. The absolute devastation we witnessed in cities across the nation last year due to racially fueled riots is a harsh reminder of exactly that.
