Form a responsible and comprehensive strategy for military operations that recognizes the constitutional requirements for congressional authorization. Invest in robust humanitarian assistance. Empower diplomacy and a fully functioning diplomatic corps. Protect our democracy from foreign interference by strengthening our election security. Give our men and women in uniform the support they deserve, and when they come home show them the commitment they showed us."

Booker says he "would end the executive actions that provide funding for the border wall, and facilitate removal of the wall where it is harming border communities."

Booker says, “Congress can and should circumvent this misguided decision by passing legislation that will protect the hundreds of thousands of DREAMers who are now facing deportation."

Booker will "direct the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to require detention facilities to meet the civil detention standards of the American Bar Association's Civil Immigration Detention Standards, which 'call for detention as a last resort' and, for facilities that host children, to meet the recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Facilities would be required to develop plans and meet deadlines for compliance with these requirements or face closure, with current residents transferred to facilities that meet those requirements."

Booker wants to "guarantee universal early childhood education; invest in teachers by raising pay, eliminating student debt, and providing financial assistance for teacher certification and licensing; strengthen our public schools by putting additional resources into underperforming school districts.... He also wants to fully fund special education and expand the Office of Civil Rights at the Department of Education."

Booker says "I’m a big believer in great schools, and every kid should have public access to them... I believe that any child born in any zip code in America should have a high-quality school, and I don’t care if that’s a charter school or a traditional district school. If it’s a bad school, I’m going to fight against it just like I supported charter school closures in Newark that weren’t serving the genius of my kids.”
