16. Briefly list three (3) political or legislative issues of most concern to you, and explain why each is important to you.

1) Creating a strong economy that provides adequate opportunities for people to pursue the American Dream, and not become dependent upon government. A strong economy provides real hope to people that they can improve their circumstances and have the dignity that comes with providing for themselves and their families. 2) Fixing our immigration system, including securing the borders. Our national sovereignty is guaranteed only if we can control who is able to enter our country, and if our immigration laws are followed. As a nation of immigrants, we owe it to those who are following our immigration laws, to ensure that there is a level playing field. We also owe it to the citizens of the US to protect them from potentially dangerous individuals crossing our border illegally and protect taxpayers from abuse of our system by illegal immigrants. 3) National Security. Protecting our citizens and homeland is the most important role of our government.
