OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Endangerment of the life of the mother only in extreme circumstances when the life of one or both are in immediate jeopardy. As a member of the Oklahoma House of Representatives, I have a very strong prolife record. I am opposed to the killing of unborn babies.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

Oklahoma has a balanced budget amendment. Since we do not print currency like the federal government, Oklahoma doesn’t have the opportunity to make similar mistakes. Streamline existing government services to minimize costs and wait times for permits and licenses. Understand that in the private sector, time is money and approach streamlining government with a focus on passing on time savings to businesses while providing cost savings to the tax payer.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion nor prohibit the free exercise of religion. The wall of separation prevents the Government from imposing its will on the churches. The First Amendment was to protect We the People from excesses of a government’s tendency to control and homogenize its people. BONUS ANSWER: The Second Amendment was to ensure the First.

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

I would expand the utilization of distance technologies that can project health care services into rural and distant communities through telecommunication and telemedicine initiatives.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Agree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

I support legal immigration properly adjudicated and matched with the national interest of the United States.

EDUCATION

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Disagree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a born again, Bible believing Christian. My wife, and our three daughter are members of Immanuel Baptist Church in Shawnee Oklahoma. I participate in a weekly men’s Bible study (via zoom) and have been actively involved in a worldwide Bible distribution and placement ministry since 1996. My belief system is based in Judeo Christian ethic and practical application of Holy Scripture. I believe I will give account to God for my actions. To whom much is given, much is expected. “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.” Proverbs14:34

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

My voting record at the Oklahoma House of Representatives is publicly available.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I worked my way through Oklahoma Baptist University earning a BUSINESS DEGREE. I have a certificate in leadership from Harvard. Have completed Commercial Lending School at the Oklahoma Bankers Association and will graduate June 2021 from the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking at The Wharton School of Business. Currently, I am the CEO of a financial institution that makes commercial loans focusing on economic development and job creation. Fluent in three languages, I have served 11 year as an Intelligence Officer in the United States Navy Reserve. I believe MILITARY TRAINING prepares elected official. When in uniform, our differences fade, and we focus on the mission. In 2016, PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP appointed Jett to US Treasury, CDFI Fund, Community Development Advisory Board where he serves as Chairman. As a former STATE REPRESENTATIVE, I was the first Republican to ever win Oklahoma House District 27 serving for 6 years.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

My passion and calling is public service. I believe “to whom much is given much is expected.” Oklahoma has a tough post-COVID19 recovery ahead. I have a broad background with extensive economic development, finance, general business experience, legislative and military experience.

JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY

I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.

Strongly Disagree

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

Yes

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

We must restrict the federal government from encrouching on the 2nd Amendment.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Neutral

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

1. Economic Recovery in a Post-COVID19 Oklahoma. - Improved State Tribal relations to maximize economic impact on the local community. - Improving efficiencies in State Government so tax payers do not pay too much or wait too long for government services. 2. Job Creation - We must remove artificial governmental barriers to existing Oklahoma business to foster competition and free enterprise. - We must attract outside business to Oklahoma through incentives and the improved business climate. 3. Quality Education - A skilled and well trained workforce is the key to a strong and vibrant economy. - I am for quality schools with curriculum tailored to the needs of the student with a focus on problem solving and creative thinking over conformity and homogenization.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Racism is a form of dehumanization to justify abuse and exploitation. Dehumanization of any class leads to destruction. Racism is a product of hatred that leads to abuse – like slavery or abortion. I believe in treating human beings with dignity and respect in accordance with the Judeo Christian ethics and teaching. Pitting Americans against one another based on ethnicity or skin color is disruptive to civilized society.
