QUESTIONNAIRE

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

1. Free enterprise and the right to private property turn mankind's natural self interest into the fairest and most productive economic system there is, and are the key to national prosperity.

15. What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers within the Constitution?

The Framers and founders understood man is a fallen creature and that his own self-interests would always tend toward control and selfishness. They sought to use those tendencies in a framework that would 'check and balance' the other in three branches of government in a representative republic.

16. Briefly list three (3) political or legislative issues of most concern to you, and explain why each is important to you.

Defense of the Bill of Rights - It is the foundation of the limitations of government and is a good guide to measure by. The national deficit - We cannot continue to spend what we do not have. We must have a budget and an economic framework supported by less government and free enterprise. Foreign Policy - We are being played like a drum by our peer competitors and are being challenged by tyrants and terrorists due to weak leadership. America is a powerful nation with incredible resources than can do so much good if properly guided.

17. Should abortion be allowed under extenuating circumstances? If so, what circumstances?

I can think of no circumstance. Three of my five children are adopted. For every unwanted child, there is someone that will love them and claim them as their own.

18. Based on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, please arrange the following entities, starting with the highest source of authority, and continue the list in descending order of authority, skipping any that do not apply: Academia, Congress, Constitution, God, Industry, Media, Professional Sports, Supreme Court, Voters.

God, Voters, Constitution, Congress, Supreme Court

19. Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God, the Savior of sinful man, who has restored mankind to God the Father. To as many as believed, He gave them power to become sons of God. We are guided to God by the power of the Holy Spirit who also guides us in our journey on this earth. I believe the bible is the inerrant Word of God, the basis for truth. I believe that when we ask Christ to come into our lives, He will not only save us from separation from God but also gives us the strength to live goody lives according to the principles laid down in God's Word.
