16. Briefly list three (3) political or legislative issues of most concern to you, and explain why each is important to you.

1) Term Limits for Congressmen and Senators - we have to stop making professional politicians that loose touch with their constituents. 2) Lobbyist Reform - when a special interest group is allowed to fill the coffers of an elected official, then the official is no longer working for the people, they are working for the special interest groups. 3) Constitution Amendment that all bills stand on their own - we have to stop wasteful spending and by not allowing pork barrel earmarks to be added to each bill, this can be accomplished. All to often a good bill is passed and made in to law that has pork barrel hidden throughout.

17. Should abortion be allowed under extenuating circumstances? If so, what circumstances?

I believe that if the pregnancy could be lethal to the woman, then she should have that choice, either way she is choosing life. I do not believe it is my place to tell her what she has to do, she already has enough on her mind. My cousin's wife found out she had stomach cancer when she was five months pregnant. She had to choose what she would do, she could not take chemo because it would harm the child. She chose to carry the baby full term and after she gave birth, they were able to do surgery and make her a new stomach out of her large intestine. That is the only time that I believe that their should be a choice.
