QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
Strongly Agree
I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Only to save the life of the mother.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Strongly Agree
Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.
Strongly Agree
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree
I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.
Yes
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
Despite notions otherwise, churches and their members have every right to participate in politics, run for office, publicly express positions on issues and even invite candidates to speak. For good or for ill, laws and policies often impact the very issues and activities people of faith care about most - exercising their faith, evangelizing, serving and ministering to the poor and teaching and helping people to live godly, productive lives. The government has no Constitutional right to restrict an individual's or a business owner's expression or free exercise of their faith. The First Amendment is foundational and critical to protecting the speech and religious activities of the citizenry, especially if/when they are politically unpopular.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
Strongly Agree
HEALTHCARE
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.
Strongly Disagree
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
Policymakers should work to establish a free market in health care in our country. Like they do other purchases, patients need to know the cost of health care - (not health insurance), be able to compare prices and choose how they type of health care that best meets their needs and their families Insurance should be portable and not necessarily tied to employment. Mandates to purchase insurance are wrong and assume government knows best what is best for families. Policymakers should remove regulatory barriers to affordable health care options so more people can afford care and not have to depend on Medicaid, which locks people into a low income bracket to qualify.
ECONOMY
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.
Strongly Disagree
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
A percentage across-the-board spending decrease is probably the best way to reduce spending in a downturn.
IMMIGRATION
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Strongly Agree
State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.
Strongly Agree
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
People who wish to immigrate legally and become contributing citizens, follow our laws and take responsibility for their welfare and that of their families should be welcomed to the U.S. Convicted criminals and those with a criminal history should not be allowed. Refugees who can prove persecution from their countries of origin should be welcomed, but not those who take advantage of this status and those who perjure themselves on this count should be held accountable.
EDUCATION
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Disagree
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.
Agree
2ND AMENDMENT
Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?
Yes
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
None - In fact, to better protect the public some restrictions should be repealed i.e. so-called Gun-free Zone laws as gun-carrying criminals do not obey these signs. Only law-abiding individuals do, endangering the public.
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.
Strongly Disagree
The Electoral College should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?
1.I'd like to see the unborn protected in law and abortion-seeking women receive the help and assistance they need to choose life. 2.To address public safety, fixing Arizona's unaccountable mental health system will help protect the public, ensure those with untreated Serious mental illness stay in treatment and prevent repeated incarcerations, hospitalizations & homelessness. 3.To address the outrageous intrusion of biological males (identifying as female) competing in women's sports, I will re-introduce the Save Women's Sport Act. It's common sense and protects women. Women and men are innately different physically, and males, even with hormone therapy, pose a safety threat to women in team sports as well as threaten their future opportunities as competitors.
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
No. The U.S. is not a racist country. On the contrary. While there will always be individuals who may be racist or make racist comments, individuals of all backgrounds, races and ethnicities can achieve their dreams i.e. Americans elected Barack Obama President of the United States- twice. We are the most accepting nation in the world as witnessed by the fact that immigrants of all colors and from all over the world can actually become Americans, work to the best of their abilities and achieve success despite their backgrounds. On the other hand, generations of students have been taught the mantra and believe our nation was founded on racism rather than a commitment to liberty for all. This must be countered intentionally with historical facts.
JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY
I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.
Strongly Disagree

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
My background as a parent and advocate for the sanctity of life and limited, accountable government prepared me as did my returning as an adult to further my education at PVCC and ASU West. Since then, I've had the honor to Chair the Health and Human Services Committee, serve on Judiciary and Education and other major committees, gaining an in-depth understanding of their workings, the lack of accountability in some of the largest agencies and boards in the state - and work to address this for taxpayers and especially, the individuals these agencies aim to serve: public school students, individuals with serious mental illness and disabilities, children in foster care, licensed health care professionals and victims of crime. There is much more to do to increase independent oversight of Arizona's agencies and their budgets and reduce regulations for businesses.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe we are born into a fallen world due to the sins of Adam but God made a way for each of us to be redeemed through the sacrifice of His son. Jesus Christ, who lived a perfect life, was crucified, died, rose from the dead and conquered death for the sins of the world. I am saved through believing on His son and strive to please Him by following His statutes and precepts in the scriptures. It is impossible to measure up to God's Holy standards, but America's Constitutional foundation and system of government is patterned after them: that we are created beings, individual property rights, freedom of expression, responsibility to provide for ourselves and our families and benefit from our industry and the governing authorities' responsibility to protect the peoples' rights, keep the peace, punish wrongdoers and tax the people accordingly to carry out its duties - but not to be overbearing and punitive.
