15. What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers within the Constitution?
The separation of powers guarantees that only through vigorous debate and compromise can laws be enacted that impact millions of people. This promotes careful thought and slowness of change which more often than not protects the individual liberties of Americans. Undivided power tends to corrupt.
16. Briefly list three (3) political or legislative issues of most concern to you, and explain why each is important to you.
ObamaCare: This egregious law is the preamble to socialized healthcare and represents an unprecedented threat to civil liberties, financial freedom and the pursuit of happiness for all Americans. Centralized Fed. Govt. Power: The "States" gave birth to the Fed. Government not the other way around. Families create and give life to the State through marriages and children. Linguistic and Judicial revisionism: This clandestine methodology is being used to subvert and "re-write" our Constitution to effect change where none is needed or is outlawed by statute.
