16. What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers within the Constitution?

I believe the basic nature of mankind is selfish and self-centered. Our Founding Fathers realized that, and so wrote the Constitution of the United States in such a way to protect individuals from having too much power, as well as the government itself. The three branches of government (executive, legislative, and judicial)serve as a check and balance system.

17. The founders established pure democracy in the Constitution because they believed that it is the best form of government to ensure the safety and equitable treatment of all citizens.

God, Voters, Constitution, Congress, Supreme Court

19. Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

*The Bible is the ultimate authority; *Faith comes by hearing the Word; *Obedience is the willingness to read and follow God's Word; *Moral values are made very clear in the Bible; *The greatest commandment is to "...Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind." (Matthew 22:37) "And a second is like it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself." (Matthew 22:39) *The Founding Fathers based the U.S. Constitution on Biblical principles.
