QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

I don't believe in abortion

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

Separation of church and state means the government should stay out of churches’ business. We celebrate freedom of religion, not freedom from religion. Our First Amendment protects churches’ right of assembly and protects individuals’ freedom of expression. I am deeply troubled by the increasing number of politicians on the left who work to punish churches and individuals with whom they disagree.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

I will promote market-based solutions for health care. Insurance should be portable, so one can easily take it from job to job, we need to reduce the number of mandates on insurance policies, and we need medical malpractice reform, to minimize defensive medicine. A safety net (Medicaid) is a necessity, but we should measure its success by how few need it, not by how many are on it.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

The state government’s core responsibilities include law enforcement, criminal justice, transportation and education. I support a limited safety net. Liberals increasingly want to fund expansive programs that have nothing to do with these core responsibilities. I strongly support reining in the Medicaid budget, making sure education dollars actually get to the classroom, and minimizing government intervention in the economy.

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Foreigners who follow the law and go through the process should be allowed to immigrate to the United States. I favor an orderly immigration system and we must oppose policies designed to advantage illegal immigrants, such as sanctuary city policies

EDUCATION

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Strongly Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

Yes

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

I oppose restrictions on gun ownership and will work to repeal the magazine limit and unconstitutional “red flag” law.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Neutral

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

1. Given the current situation we are in with COVID 19 and the State Declared Emergency, I will work to curtail Executive powers that are not in line with the Constitution. And ensure a check and balance between executive and legislative branches; and between State and County governments. 2. Legislation that requires an Independent Oil and Gas Conservation Commission and promotes responsible energy development in our state. 3. Repeal the unconstitutional " Red Flag" law

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Racism exists, but thankfully it is rare in this day and age

JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY

I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.

Strongly Disagree

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

My record as a Weld County Commissioner speaks for itself. I have promoted the free market, limited government, and traditional values and have opposed the socialist agenda of Governor Jared Polis every step of the way.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

• Weld County Commissioner for 20 years. Lead my county to be the only county with No Debt, No county sales tax and lowered taxes • Cabinet member to Governor Bill Owens. During my time working for Gov Owens responsible for cutting the departments budget to manage thru the challenges the State faced after 9/11 and the statewide drought. • Emergency Management Director for Governor Owens. Oversaw the State's response to Hurricane Katrina. • Successful small businesswoman for 15 years • Dairy Farmer/ Farmer over 27 years • Mom/ Grandmother • Graduated from the University of Colorado with a Bachelor of Science degree and a teaching certificate.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

My goal as your State Senator is to hold Jared Polis accountable. I will work to block liberal policies in the legislature every step of the way, not just by voting no, but by articulating compelling and convincing arguments that expose the fallacies of their thinking. **Answer #4- I believe marriage should be defined by the Church not Government.

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree
