OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

1. Free enterprise and the right to private property turn mankind's natural self interest into the fairest and most productive economic system there is, and are the key to national prosperity.

Strongly Agree

2. It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has health care and a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Strongly Agree

4. Government should enforce laws designed to protect the border and to prevent illegal entry of persons into the country.

Strongly Agree

5. The Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) should be repealed by Congress.

Strongly Agree

6. Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

7. Marriage is a union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

8. Efforts to bring Islamic law (shariah) to America do not pose a threat to our country and its Constitution.

Disagree

9. Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which permitted our system of limited government.

14. What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers within the Constitution?

It was their knowledge history and the rise and fall of governments throughout the ages. They knew than people could not be trusted with absolute power. To expand on question 12, Article 4 Sec. 4 of the US Constitution establishes a republican form of government, not a democracy.

15. Briefly list three (3) political or legislative issues of most concern to you, and explain why each is important to you.

Education: This deals with the future of our country and has a direct impact on my children. 2nd Amendment: The purpose of this amendment was to ensure that "we the people" would have the means necessary to resist a tyrannical government should the 1st amendment fail. Legislative protocols: The idea that "we have to pass the bill so we know what is in it" is repugnant to me. This indicates either the height of laziness or extreme corruption or probably both. Either way, it is a dereliction of duty of a representative. I will push to have every bill read on the floor of the House before it can be voted on.

16. Should abortion be allowed under extenuating circumstances? If so, what circumstances?

Every abortion results in the termination of a life. That said, if you were to shoot and kill a person would that be murder? What if that person had broken into your home at 3 in the morning, had already stabbed your dog and was now coming at you? Would it be murder then? According to the National Abortion Federation less than 1% of aborting women reported they were survivors of rape, and 12% of women included a physical problem with their health among reasons for having an abortion. Knowing that every abortion results in the termination of a life, should we not do everything in our power to save that life?

17.
